Più che lo stadio del Milan e dell’Inter, questo è lo stadio di Bruce Springsteen, che per la quinta volta (1985-2003-2008-2012-2013) propone, come sempre, un concerto entusiasmante. Spettacolare scenografia tricolore, realizzata dai fans italiani, con un messaggio enorme per Bruce: “Our love is real!”. Bruce e la E Street hanno proposto un bel set di 33-canzoni, per tre ore-e-26-minuti di concerto, segnando al momento il record dello show più lungo di Bruce nel tour del 2013.
Bella la setlist con una performance iniziale di “American Land” e la richiesta, esaudita, della tour-premiere “Long Tall Sally”, brano del 1956 di Little Richard, che precedentemente era stata eseguita da Bruce cinque volte nel 1980 allo Stone Pony. Sign request anche per “Loose Ends”.
Proposto per intero l’album “Born in the U.S.A.” eseguito per la terza volta in questo leg europeo del tour.
Gli Encores iniziano con “We Are Alive”, introdotta alla chitarra acustica da “This Land is Your Land”, che vede il suo debutto in scaletta per il leg europeo 2013. “We Are Alive” era stata ascoltata infatti l’ultima volta al concerto del 26 marzo a Melbourne, in Australia. Lo show si è chiuso con una versione acustica solista di “Thunder Road”.
“Since I was a little boy I have played in many many places, but San Siro is the one I will never forget,” ha detto Bruce introducendo “Thunder Road”.
